My 6-Week Health Reset: A Personal Game Plan for Renewal 2025

As someone who loves a structured approach, I like to map out six-week plans for myself, my patients, and my online clients. Six weeks seems to be the sweet spot for staying motivated and making steady progress.

It is incredibly important to take time for reflection—I like to carve out time for small reflections at the end of each week, and a bigger one midway to make sure I’m on track. Life chapters change, and this method keeps things fluid, giving space for breaks and healing without feeling rushed.

This season's Renewal (my community's twice yearly 6-week health reset) is a little different. After a summer of caring for my grandmother in hospice and managing her belongings, I didn’t know if I could pull this program together in time to start & be able to finish before the holidays hit. My team has also been stretched thin, so this is a last-minute, scaled-back version, but one I’m personally super excited for.

I thought it would be kind of cool (if only to health nerds like me!) to share what my game plan is for myself going through Renewal. Maybe it’ll help others to see my thought process in formulating a personalized plan.

Here’s what my next six weeks look like:

Week 1: Prep Week

We are here! Before diving into the actual cleanse, I take stock: baseline stats, journaling, and goal setting. I am coming up with my detailed game plan for nutrition, movement, supplements, and nervous system support. I’ll be preparing my kitchen, trying a couple of new recipes, and ordering supplements & supplies I need for the reset. Prep week is all about setting yourself up for success

Week 2 & 3: Barrier Sealing

This is the start of the actual health reset. We focus on sealing our blood-brain and intestinal barriers, which is essential to start the detox safely. On top of barrier sealing, we will be beginning lymphatic flow work and getting the detox pathways ready.

My personal daily plan includes:

  • Solo walks for mental health and to support lymphatic movement
  • Daily block therapy to reduce fascial adhesions and fibrosis that is blocking lymphatic flow. This also improves blood flow to the organs so the nutrients I am intaking to support my gut, brain, and liver are all actually getting through to the tissues
  • High veggie, low carb meals with ample healthy fats and adequate protein. I am allowing some flexibility for dairy, as I am still learning how to do Keto without dairy. It’s rough y’all, and I have not mastered it.
  • Short, frequent movement sessions for proper lymphatic drainage. I require more movement than most, as it is key to managing lipedema. I have to keep any intense physical activity brief. As someone with a sensitive nervous and immune system balance, I can overtrain very easily and cause more harm than good.
  • These weeks also includes B-vitamin supplementation to support methylation and overall detox capacity. B-vitamins are included in the Liver portion of Renewal, but I haven’t paid attention to my methylation for a while. I feel like I should address it sooner in the program because of the intensity I am planning to put into my detoxification processes. Methylation helps you detox more efficiently and I am genetically a bad MTHFR. (Two copies of the bad methylator genes, MTHFR. Lucky me!)
  • Week 3- Initiate Sauna Therapy. After sealing the barriers for one week, I will feel comfortable hopping in the dry infrared sauna to work my way up to 30 minutes in 120 degree heat again. I should be able to ramp that up this week so I am able to do the full 30 minutes by the time we hit the liver detox.

Week 4-6: Liver Support

By week three, our bodies are ready for liver-focused detoxification. I’ll personally continue lymphatic work, blocking, sauna, and movement to support detoxification. I will have established the routines and process in weeks 2 & 3, but I will be carefully monitoring my system for signs of overshooting my detox, which I think is a genuine possibility for my sensitive system and the intensity at which I am tackling this round.

Some Notes About My Approach

  • Intensity: This is an intensive personal reset. Because I had to dial back my work this summer while managing Grandma’s transition, I have more space in my schedule than what is normal for me, or for most people. I’m using this as an opportunity to go “balls to the wall” and see how much I can accomplish by dialing in the time I dedicate to self-care and health each day. I would never want you to judge your approach to your Renewal journey, based on my approach this round.  It’s more than I could normally sustain long-term, but right now, I have the space to do it.
  • Flexibility: I’m aware of my limits, especially with Lipedema and my immune system. Everything is adjustable depending on how my body responds.
  • Self-Care Love: Oils, massages, sauna, and mindful movement are all part of the plan to enhance lymphatic flow and tissue health. These are luxuries, but they feel like a million dollars each time I do them.
  • Weight Training: I am trying a new approach to my weight training this round. Now that I have been diagnosed with Lipedema and my inability to lose any weight EVER, no matter what I did, is explained, I have switched my eating from supporting my autoimmune disease to supporting my Lipedema. This made a huge difference and is my priority right now because I was quickly losing weight. I am nearly 46 years old and I want my skin to stick to some muscle as I lose weight, or I will be a saggy mess.

This is my roadmap for the next six weeks—structured but flexible, intense but mindful. I’ll be sharing insights, wins, and learnings along the way, and I hope it inspires you to consider your own approach to a personal reset, whether you join me or create your own.
